President Joe Biden has been under pressure to secure the southern border since the day he was elected. However, his administration has consistently failed to secure the border in a way that most Americans would be happy with. Biden's administration also rescinded many of the things put in place by Donald Trump. Many believe Joe Biden could have done NOTHING to the border and would have been better off, but instead, his administration seemed intent on going against things Trump did - and that backfired big time. With the 2024 election coming up, Joe Biden is now trying to sway voters by acting tough on the border. NBC News reported on a recent executive order signed by Biden, but Donald Trump says it won't stop the invasion:
The shutdown would go into effect immediately since that threshold has already been met, a senior administration official said. The border would reopen only once that number falls to 1,500. The president’s order would come under the Immigration and Nationality Act sections 212(f) and 215(a) suspending entry of noncitizens who cross the southern border into the United States unlawfully.
