‘My babies are in the car’: family ambushed in broad daylight
Terrifying crime video shows a family ambushed by carjackers in the middle of the day in Mississippi. No one was injured and the cops located their stolen car not too far away. Cops also identified two men involved in the carjacking and the law will be looking for them until they find them. The carjacking video was recorded by a Ring doorbell camera and shows the two men sneaking up on the family, firing shots, and then attacking the family who had kids and grandkids inside and outside of the car, according to the crime report on WAPT. The report also said:
"They kept hollering, 'Give me the keys, give me the keys.' My daughter was like, 'My babies, my babies are in the car,'" Allen said.
One of the suspects is seen on video pulling [Heather] Allen's daughter out of the car.
"He jumps in the driver's seat, I'm standing on the outside looking in, and he points a gun at my oldest boy's face," Allen said.
Her son made it out, and that's when Allen braved it to grab her grandchildren from the backseat. The whole time, one of the suspects was still yelling for the keys. When they couldn't figure out how to take that first car, Allen threw her keys on the ground, and the suspects took off in Allen's car, which was parked on the lawn.
"I'm not sleeping. My oldest son, his anxiety is through the roof — he's even scared. My daughter, she has shock, but they're safe. They are in Batesville right now," Allen said.
The family said they have lived in the area for about three months and now they're making plans to move out of Jackson.
"We can't stay here anymore," Allen said.
