This is why we can't have nice things. Big crowds of people who don't know how to act ruined the Wildwood boardwalk, prompting police responses and closures. It was closed from about 12:20am to 6am when groups of younger folks acted like they've never been outside before. Parents, get off your cell phone and start raising your kids. If your kids are acting like this in public, then it's your fault. You did this because you probably sit on Facebook all day doing nothing and neglect your kids, leaving them to grow up on social media themselves. Put the social media and smart phones away. They are awful for the youth and society in general. Get your family under control before your kids end up in jail.
“Wildwood will not tolerate unruly, undisciplined, unparented children," Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr. said in a statement Monday.The police response followed “an irrepressible number of calls for service” on Sunday night, the statement said. “Most of these calls were related to the extremely large number of young adults and juveniles that were in the city for the Memorial Day weekend,” it said.
