He has to be eliminated - Congressman Goldman said of Trump, later apologized

Democrat Congressman Dan Goldman once said "he has to be eliminated" when he was talking about former President Donald Trump. Goldman later apologized, saying, "Yesterday on TV, I mistakenly used the wrong word to express the importance for America that Donald Trump doesn’t become President again. While he must be defeated, I certainly wish no harm to him and do not condone political violence. I apologize for the poor choice of words." The apology happened back in November of 2023, so this is not a new video at all. However, now that Donald Trump has been shot at a second time, the video of Goldman saying this is being shared around social media once again.
