FLORIDA MAN stole massive TARPON fish from Bass Pro Shops, police say

You can't make this stuff up. Police are looking for a FLORIDA MAN who allegedly stole a massive tarpon fish from a Bass Pro Shops store in Fort Myers. The man is seen in the video above and he walked into the store without a fish, then put the big fish in a net and walked out WITH the fish alive and wiggling as someone else recorded video. ABC27 reported on the flopping fish thievery, saying the following in a news article about the Florida Man accused of the crime:

The sheriff’s office is working with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to investigate the alleged theft. According to FWC, tarpon are a protected species and, if caught in the wild, must be released.

“We’re #FishingForInformation and would love nothin’ more than to chum it up with this guy,” the sheriff’s office wrote in its pun-filled social media post. “Don’t get caught aiding and a-bait-ing.”
