Kamala Harris says during this interview that she changed a policy that would cater to prisoners and give them gender affirming surgery. This is odd because once you're in jail, you really shouldn't have the freedom to change your body just for gender purposes. This isn't life-saving care, this is just personal choices that people want to make - and they're not necessary for the prisoner to continue living during their time in jail. If anything, jail should not provide these services, let alone cover the cost of them. It is very concerning that Kamala Harris, who once locked up tons of people for minor weed offenses, would be catering to gender care for jailbirds. None of this makes any sense and it's beyond radical - and it wastes taxpayer money, above all.
