Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was shut down by angry NYC residents who are sick of what's going on and ruining their city. The American Tribune reported on AOC being shut down by residents, saying the following in a political commentary report:
The fury of the New Yorkers was understandable, as more than 100,000 migrants have arrived in the city over the past year, putting serious strain on the city's ability to shelter them. As a result, migrants have been housed in hotels at significant taxpayer expense while causing disorder in the streets and overtaxing the municipal services.
So, when Rep. AOC started speaking, during the presser, about how migrants are just trying to live out the American dream and so deserve a hefty amount of federal resources directed their way, the already angry crowd went berserk.
AOC, trying to get her message out, said, “They are prevented from getting jobs, they are prevented from employment, and that is part of the strain on our public system. The faster that folks can access the work that they’re asking for, legally, the better we can solve this problem.”
