VA Congresswoman announces retirement after diagnosis

Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) announced her retirement from Congress after she was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder known as Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). This condition affects movement, balance, speech, and thinking. She believes retirement is the best likely scenario so she can focus on her health and be with friends and family while she goes through this new part of her life. Wexton was previously diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Wexton says her new diagnosis is like "Parkinson’s on steroids.”
