Santana makes insensitive comments on gender, later apologizes

Carlos Santana made some politically charged gender comments during a concert and later backtracked to apologize on Facebook. As reported by the American Tribune, his comments on gender were not taken lightly by the liberal fans. Most others didn't really care, and many people agreed with Santana. The American Tribune's report said:

At a recent concert, Santana minced no words when making his stance on the transgender debate known. He said, “When God made you and me, before we came out of the womb, you know who you are and what you are. Later on when you grow up, and you see things and you start believing that you could be something that sounds good but you know it ain’t right, because a woman is a woman and a man is a man — that’s it.”

A few days later, on a Facebook post, Santana finally caved to the demands of the vocal minority on the Left. “I am sorry for my insensitive comments. They don’t reflect that I want to honor and respect all person’s ideals and beliefs. I realize that what I said hurt people and that was not my intent. I sincerely apologize to the transgender community and everyone I offended,” he wrote.
