Kevin McCarthy gives deadline on possible impeachment of Merrick Garland

Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said on 'Fox & Friends', on the morning of June 26, that "If it comes true what the IRS whistleblower is saying, we’re going to start impeachment inquiries on the Attorney General." This is Speaker McCarthy's way of saying there may be consequences against Merrick Garland in connection to Hunter Biden, which then looks really bad for President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party in general. However, many people believe McCarthy won't do much of anything - even if he should. McCarthy suggests the impeachment would be mainly due to political bias and 'weaponization' of the Department of Justice.

All of this political drama is thanks to an IRS whistleblower making major claims against Hunter Biden and linking him to alleged tax crimes through investigations. Hunter Biden is taking the heat for two tax charges and likely to admit guilt on a gun charge, but won't be slapped with a felony or prison time like he should be.

McCarthy said yesterday on Twitter: "We need to get to the facts, and that includes reconciling these clear disparities. U.S. Attorney David Weiss must provide answers to the House Judiciary Committee. If the whistleblowers' allegations are true, this will be a significant part of a larger impeachment inquiry into Merrick Garland's weaponization of DOJ."
