Police looking for Fan who caused HUGE Tour de France crash with Cardboard Sign
All it took was one cardboard sign and we have one of the worst Tour de France crashes in history. Word on the street is they're looking for the person who did this, despite it being by accident, and they might face some trouble. Then again, how does a cardboard sign take out a full grown man? Sporting News reported on the sign: "The sign is a combination of two languages, French and German. "Allez" means "go" in French, according to Google Translate, while "opi" and "omi" are German terms for "grandpa" and "grandma," according to Dict.cc. So the sign would translate to "Go grandpa-grandma." Independent reported on the police search:"Police are searching for the fan who caused a large crash on Saturday’s stage 1 of the Tour de France. The race’s organisers are reportedly intent on suing the spectator who caused a mass crash during Saturday’s stage 1. The fan responsible for the accident was brandishing a large cardboard sign with a message to her grandparents as she stood on the side of the road."
