Milton Friedman gave a notable speech where he basically warns people to keep an eye on government spending. Ironic, because Rand Paul releases a report each year that points out some government spending that ended up going to waste on silly things. It makes you wonder how the wasteful spending is connected to our tax dollars. It also makes people wonder if the bad economy is a result of a bad government.
