An old CSPAN video is coming back to haunt Tim Walz in regards to his military career. Walz retired from the military before his unit was deployed and people are calling him a coward for it. JD Vance attacked Walz's military career as well, saying the following as reported on MLive:
Vance condemned Walz for retiring from his 24-year career in the National Guard before his battalion was deployed to Iraq in the Iraq War.
Thomas Behrends, the 63-year-old veteran who allegedly replaced Walz in his battalion, called Walz a “coward” in a New York Post exclusive in August.
“When Tim Walz was asked by his country to go to Iraq, you know what he did? He dropped out of the Army and allowed his unit to go without him – a fact that he’s been criticized for aggressively by people he’s served with,” Vance said.
