JD Vance accuses Walz of dropping out of military when duty called

JD Vance called out Tim Walz directly for retiring before his deployment. Tim Walz is being smeared all over social media as a coward who turned his back on America. Vance said “You know what really bothers me about Tim Walz?… When the United States of America asked me to go to Iraq to serve my country, I did it... When Tim Walz was asked by his country to go to Iraq... he dropped out.”

Was JD Vance in the military? Yes. Task and Purpose reported: "J.D. Vance, a former Marine Corporal, is the first military veteran on a major Presidential ticket since John McCain in 2008 and the first former enlisted vet on the ballot since Al Gore in 2000. Vance served a four-year enlistment in the Marines from 2003 to 2007 as a combat correspondent, deploying to Iraq for six months in late 2005."

Was Tim Walz in the military? MSN reported on Tim Walz military career:

He served full time with the reserve force after attending Chadron State College and before becoming a high school teacher and coach, according to his gubernatorial biography.

During his tenure in the National Guard, Walz responded to natural disasters, including floods and tornadoes, according to a 2018 Minnesota Public Radio report.

His battalion was also stationed overseas to support Operation Enduring Freedom — a component of America’s war on terror — though he never saw combat.
