Acting SS director claims agents unaware Crooks was armed until hearing shots

Acting Secret Service Director Ron Rowe Jr has admitted the Secret Service failed to protect former President Donald Trump and the people around him at the Butler, PA rally. Rowe also suggested that the local police and law enforcement in that area are not to blame for any mistakes that took place, as the Secret Service is above them on all accounts. BUT - one thing that startled many people who listened is when he suggested the Secret Service didn't know Thomas Crooks was armed until AFTER they heard shots fired. That is some crazy news, for sure!

Who is Ron Rowe? Ron is taking over for Kim Cheatle, who was the Director of the Secret Service at the time Thomas Crooks tried to assassinate Donald Trump and shot him in the ear.

Who is Kim Cheatle? Kim resigned as Director of the Secret Service after they failed to protect Donald Trump and the people at the rally in Butler, PA. USA Journal reported on Kim Cheatle, saying:

Cheatle said the Secret Service had “failed” in its mission to protect Trump. She called the attempt on Trump’s life the Secret Service’s “most significant operational failure” in decades and vowed to “move heaven and earth” to get to the bottom of what went wrong and make sure there’s no repeat of it, the AP noted. Cheatle admitted that the Secret Service had been alerted about a suspicious individual two to five times before the rally shooting. She also revealed that the roof from which Crooks fired had been flagged as a potential vulnerability days before the event.

Cheatle stated that she apologized to Trump in a phone call after the event. In a Monday night interview on Fox News Channel, Trump defended the Secret Service agents who protected him during the shooting but criticized the lack of a presence on the roof with Crooks and the insufficient communication with local police.
