President Joe Biden tried taking down Donald Trump in a sarcastic comment, but it fell flat when he made a partial mistake and some reporters either looked confused or didn't correct his mistake. A reporter asked Joe Biden: "President Trump has said repeatedly that he could've gotten the hostages out without giving anything in exchange. What do you say to that?" Joe Biden responded: "Why didn't he do it when he was president?"
The problem with Joe Biden's comment is that two of the three detained Americans were detained while Joe Biden was president. Trump would have only been able to get one of them back, but the other two would be under Joe Biden's administration.
