One report on MSN said the following:

After the shooting, the Secret Service could apparently be heard saying “shooter down”, which suggests that the assailant has been apprehended.

“At the moment we have no details on who the shooter was, it is not clear, but it will be forefront of a very serious investigation going on now”, say Sky News’ US correspondent.

 

“This is an active investigation and further information will be released when available”, added the Secret Service.

 

“President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act,” spokesman Steven Cheung said in a statement. “He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”
