You can't tell me New York is doing great when random attacks like this are happening in broad daylight. These two thugs tried robbing a woman, beat her with bats, and still weren't successful. Can we say worst robbers ever? NY Post had the details:
The victim, 58, was nonchalantly checking her cell phone as she walked down Monroe Street in Two Bridges around 2 p.m. when the would-be muggers — dressed head-to-toe in black — ran up from behind, surveillance footage shows.
She backed up against the wall of a nearby store and tried to fend off the brutes — the second of whom repeatedly whacked her with the black baseball bat as his partner kicked her and tried to rip her purse off her arm.
The assailants fled empty-handed and the woman was taken to New York Downtown Hospital with bruising on her left leg and swelling on the back of her head, according to police.
