Elon Musk suggests that some journalists may despise X because they no longer have the top-level voice when it comes to reporting the news. As you've seen over the years, all the journalists who are partisan hacks will often hype things up or make them seem like something else. A real journalist will tell you what happened and leave their spin or commentary out of it.
With X, you now see random people correcting journalists, journalists being fact-checked with Community Notes, and everyday citizens of America speaking out when they see something incorrect or spun with bias. This is a good thing because it gives people's voices an honest chance to be heard. This also puts journos on the spot, forcing them to be more honest and just give us the 5 w's, no matter if they like it or not.
